Double Win for FedEx Malaysia at 2025 CSR Awards
FedEx Malaysia just bagged two major awards at the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2025, and it’s more than just trophies, it’s a whole vibe of purpose-driven work. Recognized for its community outreach and green innovation, the logistics giant continues to flex its role beyond packages.
Here’s what they walked away with:
- Company of the Year: Heart of Service
- Company of the Year: Long-Standing Excellence
It’s the fifth time FedEx has been honored at this award series since 2020, but this marks their first time winning the “Heart of Service” category, a major nod to the passion of their volunteers and grassroots impact.
What Makes FedEx Malaysia’s CSR So Real?
Let’s talk about what actually earned them those titles and why Gen Z should care.
💡 FedEx/Junior Achievement ITC Challenge
- More than 9,900 Malaysian students trained since 2008
- This year: Over 700 students created sustainable fashion solutions to reduce return waste
- Focused on entrepreneurship and global thinking
🌱 Urban Farming with TrEES
- Supported a Klang Valley urban veggie garden
- Provides around 700 meals/month for underserved communities
- Real food, real impact, right in our cities
🎒 FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign
- Collected 107kg of essentials (toiletries, food, school supplies)
- Benefited children from Shelter Home for Children
All these are under the global umbrella of FedEx Cares, their community engagement program that doesn’t just tick CSR boxes but actually shows up for the people.
Sustainability That Goes the Distance (Literally)
Not just community work, FedEx also made moves on the green logistics front.
Last year, they launched Malaysia’s first-ever cross-border electric vehicle (EV) delivery from KL to Singapore, a solid 406km drive with zero emissions, avoiding around 100kg of CO₂.
This wasn’t just a one-off. It:
- Landed a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records
- Gave the brand street cred in the region’s low-emission delivery future
- Pushes FedEx toward its global 2040 carbon-neutral goal
We’re a generation that checks receipts, not just the ones in our email, but what brands are really doing behind the scenes. FedEx Malaysia is showing that logistics can go beyond delivery and actually deliver change, from classrooms to climate goals.
